Upload Auction Items from Resources
The Upload Auction Items tool allows you to quickly add multiple auction items to your event using an Excel spreadsheet. You can either download the template to create your item list or upload a completed auction item file.
💡 Good to Know: This report can be found under Resources → Auction Resources → Upload Auction Items.
In the Upload Auction Items Popup
The Upload Auction Items popup includes two options:
- Download Auction Item Template
- Upload Auction Item File
Download Auction Item Template
Download the Excel template if you need to create or organize your auction items before importing them into MaxGiving.
- Select Download Auction Item Template.
- Save the Excel template to your computer.
- Enter your auction item information into the template.
- Save the completed file.
💡 Good to Know: Using the provided template helps ensure your auction item information is formatted correctly before uploading.
Upload Auction Item File
Once your Excel template has been completed, upload it to import your auction items into the event.
- Select Upload Auction Item File.
- Browse to the completed Excel file on your computer.
- Select the file.
- Click Open.
- Wait while the system uploads and processes the file.
💡 Good to Know: Once the upload is complete, your auction items will be added to the event automatically.
⚠️ Important: Always use the MaxGiving Auction Item Template when importing auction items to help prevent formatting or upload errors.

How to Print This Guide
- Right-click on the image of the guide
- Select Save Image As…
- Save the file to your computer
- Open the saved image
- Click Print (or use Ctrl + P / Command + P)
💡 Good to Know
For best results, print using Full Page or Fit to Page settings to ensure proper sizing and clarity.
