Merging Duplicate Guest Records

Duplicate guest records will happen from time to time, this is an easy fix using your Owner/Admin Login.

There are two rules that must be followed to allow a merge to happen:

  • Both Guest records can not have a ticket assigned to them.  You must remove one of the guest’s tickets before you can merge the records.
  • As long as only 1 of the people being merged is linked to a spouse/partner they can be merged without unlinking guests. If both are linked to a spouse/partner, one will need to be unlinked before completing the merge.

If your two guest records pass the rules above follow these steps:

  1. Go to Dashboard, All Supporters
  2. Check the box on the left hand side of the two guest records you would like to merge into one.
  3. Click the Merge Contacts button on the top right hand side of the page. This will bring up the merge popup box.

  1. In the Merge Popup, you will select the information you would like to keep for this guest. When there is only one set of data, it will automatically be selected for you. If there are two sets of information or no information, you will need to click on whichever field you want to include. Click the button next to the information you want to keep, you must click a button in each row.. ***Be Careful when selecting the information, once you have completed the merge any information not selected will be lost.
    1. If you do not click to keep the Online Bidding Registration it will be lost and your guest will need to re-register and set a password.  This is the same for the credit card field.
  2. Click on Complete Merge once you have selected all fields.
