Tax Collection Report
The Tax Collection Report provides two report views that summarize the taxes collected during your event. You can view tax collected by guest or by item, making it easy to verify tax totals, reconcile collected taxes, and determine the amount that must be remitted to the appropriate tax authority.
💡 Good to Know: This report can be found under Reports > Financial Reports > Tax Collection Report.

In the Tax Collection Report Popup
When opening the report, you can choose one of the following options:

- By Guest – Displays the total tax collected for each guest.
- By Item – Displays the total tax collected for each auction item and sales item.
By Guest
The report includes:
- Bid Number
- Guest Name
- Items Total
- Total Tax Amount
- Tax percentage configured for the event
- Total tax collected from all guests
💡 Good to Know: This report summarizes the total tax collected from each guest, making it easy to verify the tax charged during checkout.
By Item
The report includes:
- Auction items and sales items listed separately
- Catalog Number (Auction Items)
- Item Name
- Fair Market Value (FMV)
- Sale Price
- Quantity
- Tax Amount Collected
- Total tax collected
- Tax percentage configured for the event
💡 Good to Know: This report summarizes the amount of tax collected for each item sold, helping you verify taxes collected by individual item.
Print or Export the Report
After generating the report, you can choose to:
- Download PDF
- Download Excel
💡 Good to Know: The spreadsheet version is useful for sorting, filtering, and reconciling tax information. The PDF version is ideal for printing, saving, or sharing with your accounting team.

Use the Report
Use this report to:
- Review the total taxes collected during your event.
- Verify taxes collected by guest or by item.
- Reconcile tax amounts with payment activity.
- Determine the amount of sales tax that must be remitted to your taxing authority.
- Ensure the tax collected is earmarked within your event deposits so those funds are available when it is time to remit payment.
- Verify that your configured tax rate is being applied correctly.
💡 Good to Know: This report is commonly used during post-event financial reconciliation to verify tax liability and ensure the appropriate tax amount has been set aside before remitting payment.

How to Print This Guide
- Right-click on the image of the guide
- Select Save Image As…
- Save the file to your computer
- Open the saved image
- Click Print (or use Ctrl + P / Command + P)
💡 Good to Know
For best results, print using Full Page or Fit to Page settings to ensure proper sizing and clarity.
