Packaging Auction Items


Packaging items is disabled in MaxGiving site if you are using Auction Tracker



Creating A Package

1.  Select the items you want to package together by clicking on the box to the left of the item.  Please note auction items that are going to be packaged together, can not have a catalog number.

2.  Then click on the Package Items Button - only the first image of every single item will be added to the package - you will need to edit the images and descriptions once you have created the package.  

a.  Give your package a Catalog#

b.  Give your package an Item Name.

3.  You will notice that the single items will now show they are part of a package.  

Editing Items to an Existing Package

Find the package you wish to edit on the Auction Items page in your dashboard and select Edit (Pencil Icon) in the Action column of the package same row. 

  • Scroll to the bottom of the item until you see "Items in Package"  

Adding Items to an Existing Package

1.  Add Item to Package - to select additional items

2.  Select from the Dropdown List - Only items that have no Catalog# will appear in the list

3.  Click Update  The fair market value will update with any corresponding changes to items within the package

Deleting Items to an Existing Package

Find the package you wish to edit on the Auction Items page in your dashboard and select Edit (Pencil Icon) in the Action column of the package same row. 

  • Scroll to the bottom of the item until you see "Items in Package"  

1.  Click on the X next to the item you want to remove

2.  Confirm Deletion of Item

3.  Update

Deleting an Existing Package

Repeat the steps above, under Deleting Items to an Existing Package, to remove ALL items from the package, it will delete the package in its entirety once items are removed, the individual items will reappear in your Auction Items list and the package will be deleted.

***The fair market value (FMV) will update with any corresponding changes to items within the package.  If you need to change the FMV of a package, make the changes in the individual items

**** Taxes:  the package item is taxed based on the percentage of the value of any items in the package assigned tax
