Constituent Database

After your event, you will want to send your cleaned-up constituent names to the Database. Returning to MaxGiving Software for another year?  You will be able to see supporters/guests from previous events and add them to this event as you use the software. **If this is your first event this feature will not be available but don't worry it will be for your second event.

To add supporters to your database at the end of each event you will want to click the Link icon to the far right of the guest info. Then in the popup either click add as new user or edit existing supporter. Doing this will add that supporter to your database. **Remember to only add those with full information, you do not want to have "dirty " information in your database.

To use when adding a Supporter/guest:

  1. Under All Supporters, if their chain link is colored in, then the guest is already linked to your database. (The color will vary based on the color scheme of your event site.)

2.  Click on add contact.

a. In the popup you can choose from Select from existing constituents or create a new contact.  It's a good practice to always check your database first.  You can start typing either first or last name and it will find all possible matches.

b.  If the name is greyed out, it means you already have added the person to your current event.

To use when adding from under Sponsor Tab.

1. Click the down arrow for Sponsor Purchaser and choose either Add New Contact or Add From Constituent Database.

***When adding Items for donors and/or solicitors - you will need to add person to the constituent database first.
