Event Day/Night Preparation

Here are a few Suggestions of things you might want to do leading up to the event. These things can be easy to overlook.

1. Add additional Admin/Reg/Kiosk users for the various roles needed for your Event. Here is the Help Guide to help with this: https://maxgiving.helpscoutdocs.com/article/33-account-options-for-your-site

  • You can set the password for these logins yourself, we suggest using a generic easy-to-use password. There are a few reasons this might be the way to go, it can be nice if your volunteer doesn't show up you don't have to worry because no one's personal information was used, so you just get a different volunteer and they can jump in with the created login. **To set a generic password, copy the link next to the email you set up, paste it into an incognito window, and set a password.

2. Click on your dashboard, and make sure all the error messages are resolved.

  1. Review and verify your familiarity with the following event night support articles

There are a few things you will want to check if you are using the Mobile Bidding Platform

  1. Verify Your Close Times: You will want to check both your Auction Types and the General Auction Time.
    1. First check auction Types, under Auction Settings, on the General Auction Settings tab to see that the start and close of each auction type are tagged appropriately.

b. You will then want to check the Overall Auction Setting by clicking on the Online Auction

Settings tab at the top of the page. On this page verify closing times are still what you have

planned.

  1. Check your Guests and Bidders: If you have duplicate contacts Merge them before the event: https://maxgiving.helpscoutdocs.com/article/49-merging-duplicate-guest-records

  1. Have you sent out your guests' links so they can self-register? https://maxgiving.helpscoutdocs.com/article/51-inviting-guests-to-complete-registration-for-your-event
